Dr. Hana Ogawa

Hana graduated from Veterinary Medicine in Japan where she practiced as a small animal vet for three and a half years before moving to Australia. Once here she studied English, travelled, played cowgirl at a rural farm, taught Japanese at primary schools, and found herself in love with the lifestyle Australia offered.

For several years Hana worked at North Shore Vet as an emergency nurse while she obtained permanent residency and studied to obtain her Australian Veterinary License (along with a Master’s degree in accounting – just because!).

Now Hana works at North Shore as an emergency vet and finds joy in helping worried owners, sick pets, and referring vets at odd hours. Her primary interests are in emergency medicine and hospice palliative care.

In her free time Hana enjoys browsing markets, gardening, dancing, exploring Sydney’s beautiful beaches, and photography.
