Dr. Adam Swallow

Adam Swallow BVSc DipECVIM-CA AFHEA MRCVS

Adam graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013 and quickly established himself in veterinary practice. He began with a two-year tenure in first opinion practice in the UK, followed by a rotating internship at Langford Veterinary Services, University of Bristol, under a junior clinical training scholarship. Adam continued to a three-year senior clinic training scholarship (residency) at the Queen’s Vets School Hospital, University of Cambridge, UK.

At Cave Veterinary Specialists in Somerset, UK, Adam gained significant experience managing referral-level internal medicine cases and played an integral role in advancing their oncology service. In recognition, Adam was appointed Head of Medicine in January 2023. In April 2024, Adam relocated to Australia and joined the Internal Medicine team at North Shore Specialist Hospital.

Adam has a keen interest in gastroenterology, nephrology, and oncology. Adam’s also an associate editor for Veterinary Evidence, a journal published by RCVS Knowledge where he actively promotes evidence-based medicine within the veterinary community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Adam is passionate about technology and enjoys watersports such as surfing and paddleboarding, reflecting his active lifestyle.
